Who is responsible for this site

After School Care Printables is created and reviewed by the After School Care Printables team. The team draws on more than a decade of practical experience across before-school care, after-school care, holiday programs and vacation care. That experience informs the practical focus of the library: mixed ages, changing attendance, limited preparation time, shared spaces and the need for more than one way to participate.

The project uses a shared team byline so experienced educators and long-term peers can contribute over time while resources remain consistent. Contributors bring experience in OSHC practice, activity planning, design and technology to the website, printable layouts and browser tools. The site does not claim formal curriculum approval, framework endorsement or that every activity has been physically trialled with children.

What the library is trying to solve

An educator often needs to make a sound choice quickly: something quiet during arrivals, a controlled physical game, a substantial project for a longer block or a workable wet-weather alternative. Resource pages therefore aim to show the actual file, preparation, time, materials, participation options and limitations before someone prints it.

The library is written primarily for Australian OSHC and vacation care. Families, classrooms and other school-age programs may also find the resources useful, but educators remain responsible for local supervision, risk processes, policies and adaptations.

How resources are prepared

Each activity begins with a practical need, such as a quiet arrival choice, a physical group game or a longer project. Instructions and layouts are written for this library, and puzzles are checked to make sure their answers work. Some illustrations may be made with the help of image-generation tools and are reviewed before publication.

Printable files are checked for readable text, complete pages and working downloads. The guidance explains possible ways to use an activity; completing a worksheet is never treated as proof that a child has learned a particular skill.
